Bruce Dimick

Bruce Dimick has served the Salina congregation as an Evangelist since 1999. He has served in full-time staff ministry since 1989. Before coming to Salina, Bruce served congregations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

Bruce received his formal education from Oklahoma Christian University and from Friends University (Wichita, KS). He obtained a BS degree in Youth Ministry and an MA in Ministry from OC and from Friends, his MS in Marriage and Family Therapy. Bruce is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently completing his supervision at the local community mental health center with the plan to obtain his Clinical License to practice independently, tentatively scheduled for completion in 2012.

Besides working in counseling realms, Bruce serves the congregation by preaching, teaching, personal Bible studies, and by assisting in the organization and administration of many congregational activities. Bruce is involved in many youth ministry efforts both locally and state-wide and is actively connected to such efforts as: Silver Maple Camp, Kansas Youth Festival, Leadership Training for Christ, and Summer Youth Series.

Bruce was raised in Wichita, KS in a faithful and loving family and was highly involved in the Westlink congregation where his parents still attend. Bruce is blessed in marriage by his bride, Julie. Together, Bruce and Julie have two children, Sydnee and Nathan. The Dimick family enjoys camping, watching movies, and being active together. When not involved in ministry, therapy, and family, Bruce distracts himself by following the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals and then soothing himself following disappointing loses by listening to his favorite musical group U2.

Wayne DeWindt

Wayne DeWindt moved with his family to Salina, KS in October 2008. He serves as one of two co-evangelists for the Salina church of Christ. Before moving to Salina, Wayne lived in Hutchinson, KS where he was the outreach and involvement minister for the Eastwood church of Christ for 7 ½ years.

Wayne has been involved in ministry since 1990 serving congregations in Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Some of the ministry capacities Wayne has served the Lord’s body are: teacher, preacher, counselor, youth minister, college minister, family ministry, small group’s director, hospital chaplain, foreign missions, radio ministry, seminars, and evangelistic outreach. Because of his diverse background, he is uniquely qualified to serve a wide variety of people and ministries.  He looks forward to serving the needs of the Lord’s church and the local community.

Wayne graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in education and following the decision to become a fulltime minister attended the Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock, TX where he received certification diplomas from the Adventures In Missions program (A.I.M). and the Sunset International Bible Institute (S.I.B.I).  In, 2009, Wayne completed his BA in Biblical Studies from the Sunset International Bible Insitute.

Wayne and his wife, Crystal, have three Children: Douglas, Daniel and Daycee. Crystal is an accomplished sign language interpreter, interpreting for the deaf in both the church and local community. She is a graduate of the Adventures in Missions program and the Sunset International Bible Institute Woman’s Program. She enjoys teaching women’s and children’s classes.
