In Matthew 4 Jesus fasted 40 days before he began His Galilean ministry. Let’s commit the next 40 days to grow in our faithfulness in prayer (Romans 12:12)

 

July 1

Today we begin our 40 days of prayer. Pray for our local, state, and national leaders.

I urge then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness 1 Timothy 2:1-2

July 2

Pray for your own spiritual development

Devote yourself to prayer Colossians 4:2

July 3

Pray for the spiritual development of your families

These commandments…are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home…Deut. 6:6-7

July 4

Pray for God’s direction of our church family.

I know the plans I have for you, “declares the LORD”…plans to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11

July 5

Pray for our shepherds and their wives

I will give you shepherds after my own heart…Jeremiah 3:15

July 6

Pray for our young people and youth program

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example…1 Timothy 4:12

Pray for our deacons and their wives

Whoever wants to become the greatest among you must be your servant…Matthew 20:26

Pray for our Women’s Ministries and our church secretary

I Commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant Romans 16:1

Pray for our mission efforts

Go and make disciples of all nations…Matthew 28:19

July 10

Pray for Bruce and counseling efforts that mend lives and bring people to Jesus

You guide me with your counsel…Psalm 73:24

Pray that we will all seek opportunities to encourage others in our church family

Encourage one another and build each other up 1 Thessalonians 5:11

July 12

Pray for our L.I.F.E. group ministry

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Romans 12:10

July 13

Pray for your evangelists and their wives and families

…pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored…2 Thessalonians 3:1

July 14

Pray for our benevolence ministry

I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…Matthew 25:35

Pray for our missionaries Alberto Calderon and Jhonny Coindori and their families

Devote yourself…to preaching and teaching 1 Timothy 4:13

Pray for our little children

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Luke 18:16-17

Pray for King’s Kloset

I was a strange and you invited me, I needed clothes and you clothed me…Matthew 25:35-36

Pray for opportunities to serve one another

…do good…especially…to the family of believers Gal 6:10

Pray for our worship assemblies

Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…Hebrews 10:24

Pray for those in prison

I was in prison and you came to visit me…Matthew 25:36

Pray for our times of Christian fellowship

They…ate together with glad and sincere hearts Acts 2:46

Pray for our greeters

Greet one another…1 Peter 5:14

Pray for the directors, counselors and all the campers attending camp Silver Maple

And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men – Luke 2:52

Pray for those in the hospital as well as our shut-ins

I was sick and you looked after me…Matthew 25:36

Prayer for our church involvement ministries

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others…1 Peter 4:10

Pray for our singing and worship

Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord…Ephesians 5:19

Pray for our people who give rides to our worship services and Bible classes

So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find…Matthew 22:10

Pray for our nursery, Bible hour, and Children’s education Ministries

Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me…Mark 9:37

Pray for those who keep our church facility maintained.

I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD” Psalm 122:1

Pray for our mothers with new babies or those expecting children

Let the little children come to me Matthew 19:14

Pray for all of us to become more fervent in prayer

Lord teach us to pray Luke 11:1

August 1

Pray for our church’s finances

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver 2 Corinthians 9:7

August 2

Pray for our Bible School teachers and our Adult Education Ministry

They shall all be taught of God John 6:45

August 3

Pray for our older members

Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father…treat older woman as mothers I Timothy 5:1

Pray for our upcoming Gospel Campaign in 2012

Faith comes from hearing the message Romans 10:17

Pray for our parents

Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right Eph 6:1

August 6

Pray for Christian colleges and ministry training schools and ministries that training others to preach and teach the gospel

God into the world and preach the good news to all creation Mark 16:15

August 7

Pray for community outreach efforts

Every day they continued to meet together…and the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved Acts 2:46-47

August 8

Pray for our singles, widows and widowers

Come unto me all your who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28

August 9

Pray for spiritual growth in all of our members

Make every effort to add to your faith, goodness…knowledge….self control…perseverance…godliness…brotherly kindness…Love 2 Peter 1:5-8
